preATAM2020: let’s get started

Tomorrow (October 13^th) starts the Prequel Symposium on Advanced Technologies and Materials /preATAM2020/ – the first international scientific conference devoted to the latest achievements in the field of materials engineering. Łukasiewicz – PORT is the organizer.

From Tuesday (October 13^th) to Thursday (October 15^th) we will meet with scientists from around the world whose work focuses on efficient optical materials, 2D layers and miniaturized photonic devices.

– I am convinced that this international meeting, although organized in a virtual space, will shed a light on everything that is the most fascinating and desirable today in the field of advanced materials engineering. I encourage especially young scientists to participate! – says Alicja Bachmatiuk, Ph.d. Dsc. Leader of the Materials Engineering Center, Head of the Laboratory of Electron Microscopy in Łukasiewicz – PORT.

As a part of the symposium, 9 lectures by renowned experts from leading scientific institutes in Europe, Asia and the United States are planned. Invited are: prof. Anja-Verena Mudring, prof. Mark Rümmeli and prof. Georges Boulon. The meeting will be a great opportunity to exchange views – participants will be able to ask questions meanwhile the lectures. Additionally, an online poster session is prepared especially for young scientists. Every day, they will have the opportunity to discuss selected posters and compet for attractive prizes: iPads, invitations to the ATAM2021 Symposium or internships at Łukasiewicz – PORT. The winners will be announced on the last day of the symposium (October 15^th). The broadcast will be available only to logged users. Registration is open until October 12^th.
