PORT Seminar Series: John Bell

The guest of the next edition of our seminar series will be John Bell, CEO at HighTechXL. On February 26 (Friday) he will give a lecture entitled “Ecosystem-based innovation” dedicated to the employees of Łukasiewicz – PORT.

John Bell is an expert in the field of commercialization and innovation. From June 2020, he is the CEO of HighTechXL in Eindhoven – the leading Dutch hub supporting the development of advanced technologies, creation, and acceleration of technology companies as well as their cooperation with the industry. HighTechXL brings together more than 12,000 researchers, engineers, developers, and entrepreneurs working on new technologies that will shape the world of the future. It also collaborates with the largest companies in Eindhoven.

John Bell actively supported the creation of the Dutch HighTechXL technology accelerator. At that time, he was the executive at Philips, the largest Dutch consumer electronics concern, dealing with Developing Strategy for Philips Research among others. For many years he was also associated with Johnson & Johnson’s JLabs – a global network of life-science incubators.

The lecture will discuss the key elements that must appear to successfully carry out the commercialization process, that is the transfer of innovation to practice.
