The PORT Foundation supports Polish research institutes in their activities. In the era of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, this role becomes particularly important. For the last few days, the ŁUKASIEWICZ – PORT has been actively supporting the Voivodship unit of the State Sanitary Inspection in Wrocław in preventing, diagnosing, and counteracting the COVID 19 pandemic. The Institute’s employees conduct hundreds of coronavirus tests every day. The tests are extremely expensive – in particular purchases of laboratory materials and accessories as well as personal protective equipment for ŁUKASIEWICZ – PORT employees, and are financed directly by the Institute from own resources. Therefore, we would like to ask you for financial support that will enable the Foundation to purchase the most necessary materials and transfer them to ŁUKASIEWICZ – PORT to help the Institute to limit the negative impact of a pandemic on society. Sehr verehrte Damen und Herren,
eines der grundlegenden Ziele der PORT Stiftung ist es, polnische Forschungsinstitute in ihrer tagtäglichen Arbeit zu unterstützen. Angesichts der gegenwärtigen Pandemie SARS-CoV-2 gewinnt dies an besonderer Bedeutung. Łukasiewicz – PORT unterstützt seit Tagen aktiv die Epedeiologisch-Sanitäre Station der Niederschlesischen Wojewodschaft in Wrocław (Breslau) im Bereich der Vorhersage und Diagnostik des SARS-CoV-2 Virus. Mitarbeiter des Instituts führen tagtäglich hunderte derartige Tests durch. Die Untersuchungen sind sehr kostenaufwendig, insbesondere bezüglich der Beschaffung entsprechender Materialien, Laborausrüstungen und Schutzausrüstungen für die Mitarbeiter von Łukasiewicz – PORT, werden sie doch eigenständig vom Institut finanziert. In diesem Zusammenhang wenden wir uns vertrauensvoll an Sie mit der Bitte um eine finanzielle Unterstützung, die es der Stiftung ermöglicht, die am dringendsten benötigten Materialien zu kaufen und an das Institut Łukasiewicz – PORT weiterzuleiten, um die entsprechenden, oben genannten Aktivitäten zu unterstützen, damit die negativen Folgen der Pandemie für die Bevölkerung minimiert werden können.
