PORT AT THE SYMPOSIUM ON THE FUTURE OF CHEMISTRY

From 23 to 24 January the PORT will attend as a substantive partner the XXV-th Scientific-Technical Symposium CHEMIA (Chemistry) 2019 held in Płock. The participants of this event will talk about changes in the domestic chemical branch. Mr. Michał Surma D.Sc., the Analytics Area Leader at the PORT will preside over the session on the topic of “In the era of the intelligent industry” and other representatives of our center will represent us in our stand.

During the CHEMIA symposium, which gathers each year over 400 representatives of chemical plants, petrochemical plants and oil refineries, the most important questions will be addressed, related to investments, climate-energy policy, regulations of law, innovations, fuels and future of the energy generation sector. The event will be accompanied also by the exhibition of company stands offering solutions interesting for the branch.

VISIONS OF CHEMISTRY FUTURE
The organizers of the jubilee edition want to sum up in Płock what has taken place in Polish chemistry and to determine its new goals for the future. The program of the XXV-th Scientific-Technical Symposium CHEMIA 2019 includes i.a. as follows:
2 discussion panels:
– Will the climate-energy policy limit Polish chemical industry?
– Fuels of the future – the vision for years 2030-2050
5 topic sessions:
– Global trends. New directions of development of Polish chemistry
– At the new technology laboratory
– In the era of the intelligent industry
– Finding the way of being competitive still
– In search for the energy of the future

PORT PARTICIPATION
Mr. Michał Surma D.Sc., who works at the PORT as the Analytics Area Leader, will preside over the session on the topic of “In the era of the intelligent industry” on 23 January at 16.30 hrs. This area covers the laboratories: Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (ASA), Gas Chromatography (GC), X-Ray Crystallography (XRD), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Mass Spectrometry (MS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FT-IR). During the whole event it will be possible to meet the PORT representatives at the stand of our center in the exhibition part.

The Honorary Host is PKN ORLEN S.A., the organizer is BMP, the editor of the “Chemia Przemysłowa” (Industrial chemistry) periodical and the portal kierunekCHEMIA.pl (directionCHEMISTRY).
