We are pleased to announce the establishment of cooperation between the PORT Foundation and OSRAM company, thanks to which a modern educational laboratory will be creating on the Łukasiewicz – PORT campus.
As part of the project, OSRAM will support by financial donation the launching of a microelectronics and photonics laboratory, serving educational purposes and popularizing these branches of science among the general public. The classes and workshops organized there will be aimed primarily at young recipients: students, doctoral students, school youth, and children. Experts from Łukasiewicz – PORT will be involved in their implementation.
– One of the statutory goals of the PORT Foundation is to conduct scientific, educational, and popularizing activities in the field of research and development projects, as well as to develop the talents and skills of children, youth, and students – says PhD, DSc, prof. Detlef Hommel, Chairman of the Board of the PORT Foundation. – Support from OSRAM is a great opportunity for us to develop and at the same time a big commitment.
The Polish Center for Technology Development Foundation is a non-governmental organization whose program includes among others the development of scientific cooperation and support for initiatives, projects, and undertakings aimed at increasing interest in the indicated scientific fields and disseminating knowledge about them. It operates on the premises of the Pracze Campus.
OSRAM is a worldwide operating company, engaged among others in the development, manufacture, and sale of optoelectronic Components, Systems and LED luminaires”. The project implemented together with the PORT Foundation is part of the OSRAM’s activities within the framework of IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest)
